Posco and Hyundai Steel made bids for new scrap purchases from Japan

It is reported that Korea's steel giant Posco's Processing & Service Co and Hyundai Steel have made their different bids for their new purchase of high-grade ferrous scrap from Japan.

It's known that Posco's bid price for Shindachi scrap was at ¥40,200/ton CFR and that for P&S scrap was at¥ 39,700/ton CFR

For Hyundai steel, one of their bid prices was at ¥35,500/ton FOB for No2 HMS and the other at ¥38,500/ton FOB for Shindachi scrap.

It is said the two bids made by Hyundai were higher by ¥600~¥1,000/ton than the company's previous ones.
